Sisters | Louisville Lifestyle Photographer

By now anyone who reads my blog knows that not only do I love my sisters fiercely, they are also my favorite subjects. Usually I make them model for me, practice my new technics. But many times I just have my camera out snapping when we are together to capture our memories. We recently spend the weekend in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Home to our “grammy” and more memories than I can shake a stick at. This is were we spend our summer as kids, it’s home to us. Our Aunt Martha joined us for the weekend, and brought dozens and dozens of photo’s that SHE took when we were growing up. She basically documented our childhood every chance she got ( see photography runs in the blood). We spend hours digging through these pictures, laughing, and remembering. I want to document life, I want to remember every last detail so one day, when i’m old and gray ( or grayer as it is these days) I can share those memories with my family, and laugh, and remember. The good, the sad, the Life we lived.

This is what I call ” Christie in the Raw” as much as she might act like she hates my camera, she’s the first to snatch it up after i’ve finished snapping a few pictures, and take her OWN photo of the LCD display claiming “I take to long to edit”, so I know she loves it. To me these images are classic Christie, some posed, some totally raw, but all very HER.
